Hi,
I have a 2011 Toyota Corolla. It is my first ever front wheel drive car (80K miles). I have changed the radiator fluid, transmission fluid (a while ago) and of course oil regularly (as well as spark plugs and serpentine belt). Normally I'd be changing the rear differential fluid by now if it were rear-wheel drive. Should I be doing a front differential fluid change? Does it exist? I cannot find anything for it on Youtube....I'm just wanting to make sure I'm not missing a major mechanical fluid change that I should be doing. Any thoughts would be appreciated by the gang!
Thank you,
Nick
in a transaxle (transmission + axle), the front differential is lubricated by the transmission fluid.
Thank you MountainManJoe. I didnt know that!
that kind of stuff is the reason i like this here car forum
The differential oil change is extremely important. Check the owner's manual for type and viscosity and keep to the schedule.
