Hi Scott and everyone,

As I was trying to shortlist some cars i've been gravitating towards a 2012 automatic honda fit. I found one from a private owner at about 4700 euros (about $5500/6000) with about 123km (74k miles) mileage. Can you give me your opinion with regards to the mileage, should I buy it at that mileage and does it have potential to last if I take care of it? All round the car seems in good shape.

P.s: if you would have any other car suggestions I would greatly appreciate. (I'm from europe and there is no highways were i'm from so if the car is small, as long as it is a 4 seater its fine)

Go right ahead on the Jazz if a professional mechanic checks it out (especially the transmission) & gives you the green light.

123,000 kms is nothing for a Honda..

Congratulations & good luck!

Thanks a lot very helpful!

as long as it's not a CVT (the early CVTs they put on these were terrible).

At only 120k km It's practically brand new. great car.

If you're looking for something Safer, The 2011-UP Suzuki Swift (not the "7 speed") has a better EuroNcap rating (94% vs 78%) and personally IMO the Swift drives a lot better. Although from what I know, it's also slightly less reliable.

Thanks a lot, Honestly, I was thinking about the swift but the in terms of practicality and equipment the jazz seems better.

about 4700 euros (about 5500/6000 pounds)

If I had a choice, I'd take GBP 😀

4700 € is about 4000 GBP

I meant dollars not pounds 😅😅
