[Solved] Range Rover opinions

Topic starter

So I was watching YouTube and there was this guy talking about his 2021 range rover. He was mostly flexing how much money he spend on buying range rover. I know range rover are pretty unreliable cars and the new ones break down under 100000 miles but my question is why are they so expensive. Now with modern technology they are not that much different . A person can buy toyota 4 runner maxed out or land crusier from toyota and still can get bang for the buck.

Snob appeal.

So like fake marketing cost?

Maybe they used to be venerable vehicles. But much like Jeep, today they are just an empty shell, Range Rovers in name only. But people still cling vainly to the imaginary status, and price tag, still attached to them.

It and Jaguar were failures of course, and were sold to the Indian Tata motors. They are vehicles for chumps now lol.

Yuppie 4x4, just like the Hummer.

Clearly you are smart. Some people just aren't able to think that logically.

If you have the money to spend on an unreliable piece of junk, go right ahead.  It's your money.

Range Rovers and the like are created for people like him. Some people are willing to spend $$$.

He probably won't even know it is unreliable, because more often than not, folks usually get rid of them before they become so.

They command those prices because of the badge and, unfortunately, people are willing to pay the price (although they are vastly leased).

Their SUVs are uglier than the RAV4.

New cars aren't priced for reliability, you pay for the metal, features, steering wheel, and airbags.
