I would not buy any BMW they're endless money pits these days but if you must the 325 is probably the better

Thanks Scotty! I know their heavy maintenance car. But the BMW E90 is my dream car! Not A big fan of the morden ones. I am ready to pay for repairs and maintenance!

325. That is one of bmw better cars. They tend to have have few electrical issues and mechanically they hold up well. Try to find a German car specialist in your area to look it over. At the very least have a regular mechanic look it over who has a high quality scan tool.

Thanks! What parts should I be concern of owning this car?

Not a fan of the E90's, have read about too many issues with this series. My favorite was E46 325ci.

With out knowing the exact  year and series it cannot give accurate list but as a base line here is the list. This is about 50% of them

  1.  Exhaust and catalytic converter
  2. Cooling system,l and heater core
  3. Ignition coils
  4. Valve cover gasket
  5. Oil filter gaskets and other oil leaks
  6. Fuel pump and filter
  7. Parasitic drain/ battery failure
  8. Allomst all other electronics
  9. Climate control, blower motor
  10. Lifters and valves
  11. U joint and axle boots
  12. Water pump and timing belt
  13. seat belt

I would also add the cylinder head bolts breaking. External head bolts breaking cause oil leaks down left side of the engine, and/or the internal head bolts breaking which lead to engine overheating and internal cooling leaks. The internal head bolts breaking is a huge deal to fix. Years ago, I was looking at 3 series coupes 2008-2011 and then I found out about the head bolt issue. Totally turned me 100% off from any BMW.

I Forgot they had that issue

I looked at a couple 10 yrs ago, and the techs never put everything back together correctly in the engine bay on both, so I knew those particular ones had been worked on for the head bolts. I just walked away. So glad I gave up on BMW's.

Sometimes you have to do that. I always tell people never get a German car. Its not worth the headache. Plus there is a good reason they can lose up to 80% of there value in just 10 years. We are talking all German cars not just bmw. My ex girlfriend last week bought a 2008 Mercedes-Benz E-Class 4dr Sdn 6.3L AMG RWD.

It only has 35,000 miles. Mint condition, 1 owner Garage kept. She paid 13,500.00.  That says it all.
