Scotty,
People are saying change transmission fluid every 40,50,60K miles.
I asked dealer to change it on my 2020 corolla with CVT that has 60k miles on odometer, but he refused and said to do it at 100k instead.
Is he that good and honest by saving me money now or doesn't know any better?
There are lots of videos on that topic that you can easily do it yourself. Another option would be finding an honest independent mechanic.
No, I don't think he doesn't know anything about cars in my opinion. Find an honest mechanic to solve all of your troubles.
No dealer is not looking out for your best interest. If you don't change the fluid the trans will fail.

Find an honest mechanic like Petr for maintaining your car.
He’s being honest. Sounds like he’s just following the manufacturer guidance, which as the manufacturers representative he should. I would be more concerned if he was recommending things that were not in manufacturer guidance (like injector “cleaning”).
That said, the question becomes whether the manufacturer guidance is really the best. What goes into that guidance includes both engineering and financial factors (their finances, not yours).
Of course no fluid lasts forever. But my guess is that the original fluid should probably be changed at 60k, but that the benefit over 100k is probably marginal. Do what makes you sleep better and don’t worry about it.
Thank you, you truly got my question
When you change it. Make sure you use the toyota FE CVT FLUID. You will be shocked at the price of it. I got a can it was $ 98.00 for 4 liters.
