Hi
I purchased a Jeep 2015 Cherokee diesel from a dealer in August it had 102000 miles. We bought it with a full warranty with unlimited miles. After driving 5000 miles incident free, the ESG module packed up and we spent $3200 fixing it as the warranty company wouldn't cover it. After confirming the Jeep was okay to drive from TX to CO by the TX dealer the car packed up 170 miles from source with the engine seizing and needing to be replaced. The estimated repairs for a 2nd hand engine are $13000 for the engine and $19 000 for the work to replace it. The warranty company will only give us $13 000. Do we have any recourse for this mess?

Those warranty companies are almost invariably ripoffs, and that probably goes for the dealer that sold you the vehicle as well. Scotty has stated quite a few times that the Italian-made Fiat diesels that Jeep offers are junk. (That's in addition to the general unreliability of modern Jeeps.)
Check the fine print in your warranty contract to see what the terms and conditions are. If they are violating the terms of the contract you could try to sue them but you'll probably find that the amount to be paid for repairs is at their sole discretion.
Who gave you that quote for a used engine plus installation? It sounds completely outrageous.
