Yukon shakes at highway speeds

Hiya Scotty! I'd like to pick your brain. I have a 2000 GMC Yukon Denali, 350 SBC. While driving down the highway, when I get to around 65 MPH, I can feel my truck starting to shake. I know for certain my tires are in balance and tire pressure is good. Front suspension components are solid, drive line is solid to. The shaking tends to get worse going between 70 and 85MPH. I'm beginning to suspect that the rear drums are slightly out of balance; when I start braking I can feel like a jerking motion while braking. No pulsation in the brake pedal though. I also don't think I have a bent rim either or I would of noticed some odd tire wear going on along with shaking at slower speeds. Could it be out of shape/balanced brake drums? I have been running on those for quite sometime.

Sounds like something out back is the issue.

Could be the CV axles, could be shocks, or could be something else. But I would get it up in the air and start looking in those areas.

Definitely something out back, I know for sure the shocks are good to go since I replaced them a couple of months ago. As I stated I to feel a herky jerky motion while braking, which is hinting brake drums. My rear brakes are drum brakes. Though while removing the drums over the past few years, I've dropped them a few times due to me not sleeping.

How old are your tyres? And are they perfectly round?

I tried swapping tires around, still the same thing. I know they are round, and only about 2 years old with about 15K on em. Shocks are brand new as well; bilstein 4600s

If your tyres are from a good name brand & you're sure they’re well balanced, I’d look at the rear CV axles.

ummm. My Yukon has a solid rear axle, not IRS. So rear CV axles are a definite rule out. Also running with Nexen Roadian AT Pro. Been using them for quite a while. Haven't had any issues.
