| Anybody on here purchase the new frontier? If you have how do you like it so far? How’s the 9 speed transmission? I think it has huge potential to really be a problem for the Tacoma. | |||||

| Well you can honestly get close to Tacoma quality without the Toyota price tag with the frontier. Obviously Toyota is the better pick and will hold value. IF you were choosing between the Ford or GM I’m sticking with the Ranger. Why? Because although Ford and GM both seem to like dropping the ball on quality control, Ford made the smart move and decided to completely focus on trucks. GM hasn’t done that, they wanted to get their hands in everything to try and please everyone and and that choice has been their demise. So, as I said before yes both companies l ... | |||||

| Hey Scotty! I have a 2011 Nissan frontier SV 4x4 5spd auto w/od 147K miles. I have a strange knocking noise and need help from the experts. I will provide a YouTube link below with the noise. Is this sound detrimental to my engine? Will it destroy my engine? I just bought this truck for 14,000$ from a Nissan Dealership. | Hey Scotty, I have a 2012 Nissan frontier 4.0L V6 SV4X4 automatic. I had an overheating problem and the smell of coolant in my cab. I cannot determine if the smell is coming out the vents but I have a feeling that it is. I first flushed the system twice. nothing changed so I changed the thermostat. It did not work. Then I changed the radiator. that didn't work either so I changed my thermostat again in a last stitch effort before the water pump was coming out just incase it was a bad part. That thermostat worked and the truck is now running at a normal temp. ... | |||||

| 2007 Nissan Frontier ECU is bricking my ride | 15Relevance | 4 years ago | ScottyHanna | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| Hi Scotty, I have a 2007 Nissan frontier XE 4cyl manual that had a bad ECU. An auto repair place I took it to sent it out to be fixed, but they said it was unfixable. I took the truck to the dealer, and the ECU is no longer made. They say they can't program a used one without some code on the old one, which has been thrown out after 30 days by the ECU rebuild company. Am I completely screwed? Thank you for your efforts, Scotty H | |||||

| Hi Scotty, love your videos. I know you are not a Nissan fan. I was wondering what info you have on the new frontier pickups. I know they just came out so the reliability is unknown, but is the v6 engine good and the automatic transmission solid? It is a nice looking truck and not the quality of a Tacoma, but the Nissan is starting to look like the Tacoma and the older frontiers seemed to hold up pretty well. Any information you could share now would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. | |||||
