| Answer to: Should I buy top tier Gasoline? | 17Relevance | 4 years ago | gulevichg99 | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| Where I live, the stations that sell top tier gas have a nearly 50 cent per gallon premium compared to those that sell non top tier gasoline. Is top tier gasoline that much better such that it justifies a significant premium? Or is non top tier gasoline good enough? I don't want to waste extra money on gas with the absurd high gas prices these days, but I don't want to clog up my fuel injectors either and cause costly repairs down the road. Thanks. I've got an 05 Lexus RX330, 145 K miles. | |||||

| Also, my car says to use premium gas only, but I never have. Do you think that might be why it's throwing the code? Because I always just use I think it's 83? Or whatever the lowest quality of gas is. Do I actually need to be running the premium gas? | |||||

| Hello, I work for Lexus. When they gas them they put 87 in them all the time. It’ll be fine. Of course they prefer premium because it gets better gas mileage. You’ll just notice premium gas last longer than regular but it’s not hurting the car at all. | |||||
| Is it okay to mix gasoline? (Car requires regular octane 87) | 17Relevance | 5 years ago | emrgh0406 | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| ... Honda pilot 2013 model and he's been fueling it with premium thinking it's better for the car. He had no problem and still runs like a clock. I will most likely get that car from him as my first car. As a broke college student I realized gas is quite expensive. So I wanted to make sure I can fuel with regular gas, which the owners manual states to fuel the car with 87 or above. Or do I have to continue using premium gas since it's been powered by it this whole time? Thank you and have a wonderful day! | |||||
