| Answer to: What should i choose as my first truck? 2020 Ford F150 XLT V8 5.0 or a Toyota Tundra. | 19Relevance | 5 years ago | USAFdozerpilot | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| Toyota Tundra or even an f150 seem like the route for you just from what you typed. Listen the bells and whistles are nice for about 8 yrs if your lucky. Then they just become money problems. If you go the f150 route I’d get a 2013-17 model with the 5.0 V8 OR if you’re looking for a gas saver I’d go 2018 f150 2.7 ECO. I say 2018 or newer because that’s when the 2.7 got duel injectors instead of just being a GDI motor. | |||||

| Which car to purchase and which to sell? | 18Relevance | 4 years ago | FJCruiser2014 | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| Hoping on getting some opinions as I've been thinking about this for a while and would love some thoughts/opinions from other people. I currently have a 2022 Civic Sedan Sport and a 2022 Civic Sedan Touring. I need a suv (small to mid size). I've been thinking of the new Corolla Cross, but also heard recently that they're going to offer a hybrid version for 2023. I live in WA State so those who know can imagine how much I pay for gas each time I fill up any car. So if anyone has opinions on which Civic to keep and also on which Corolla Cross option I would appreciate it. | |||||

| ... Scotty said buy the 8 cylinder - not the turbo v6. I would have to say I feel somewhat foolish for buying it. I wanted a Tundra but the things were stupid expensive - even for a beat-up old one. Perhaps I just caught a lemon but if you google Coyote (Mustang's and f150's) problems you will get a screen full. That said they make 700k f150's a year so something is going to go wrong somewhere but it sucks when it is you. 2009 Mazda6 - 244k miles going strong 2006 Honda accord - 210k miles going strong 2006 Honda Odyssey - 264k miles until tranny wor ... | |||||

| ... bearings, sufficient cooling and lubrication, all those things. Sure that same engine would last longer if you didn't put the turbo on it, and a V8 engine will last longer if you lower the compression to 6:1. The EcoBoost engines Ford puts in their f150's were all designed from the ground up to be turbocharged. The Ford GT version of the 3.5 EcoBoost puts out 647 hp in the Ford GT... if it can handle that level of power, then the 375 hp my f150's engine puts out is not likely to overtax it. Main bearings and rod bearings only know how much force is being pu ... | |||||

| I honestly have never owned a car nice enough for a polish/wax, but I decided my brand new pear white 2020 Ford Fusion might fit this bill. Back when I got my 2015 Focus tuxedo black automatic (Big tranny issues and a huge mistake overall), I used a friend's NuFinish on it and remember it turning out nicely. I was wondering on all of you guy's opinions on it. I have a few questions... 1. Is it safe 2. How does it line up against other products of its type (I.E. pros and cons of polishes vs waxes) 3. What are your personal opinions on it, and what would you recommend (if not Nu-Finish) to keep the coat looking nice. Thanks for any insight. | |||||

| 2017 Lincoln MKZ opinions 2017-2019 Lincoln MKZ opinions 2014 Lincoln MKZ opinions This has been talked about many times but I'm going to keep it short, those cars weren't designed to last long. The water pumps are behind the timing chain on those V6 engines which means $$$$ when you change it, and the transmissions are downright weak. Ford also doesn't care about its customers so they don't make stuff right which leads to a bunch of recalls. Definite pass for me. | |||||

| @mountainmanjoe I'm tolerating differing opinions just fine. I stated my opinion at the beginning (the second comment on this answer). I think you're not tolerating it well since you started all this back and forth arguing saying I'm not comprehending your comments and unnecessarily questioning me on things you clearly should know if your responding on this post. You're calling me out for my opinions, and that I don't appreciate. Don't take my opinion personally, I was just giving an elaborate explanation on the downsides of flushing, and allow the original poster of this question to make their decision based on our combined opinions. I do apologize if I sounded rude in my comments. We have different experiences with this topic, and I believe it's great to share both sides. | |||||
| 2008 Lexus es350 - Opinions needed.. | 15Relevance | 4 years ago | 21xse | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| Hi, I bought my 2008 ES350 in March of 2021 with 59,990 miles from my Toyota dealer. Currently, I have 64,100 miles as I do not drive much. I live in a northern state, there is no rust at all on the car. Once a month I run the vehicle through a touchless car wash in the winter, so that helps too. (The water pressure is not insane, so please don't worry about that... Lol) It has been serviced at the Lexus dealer by older people. Back in March, the Toyota dealer had replaced the two front axles and the wiper blades. They had informed me before I bought it that there is a steering wheel shake at 70ish MPH, which is noticeable and has gotten progressively worse. I need opinions on whether or not to fix the current issues or sell the vehicle and get something newer/new. The current issues are; Flashing tpms light, loud either squeaking/grinding noise on startup, tires could use replacing, braking performance is terrible, steering wheel shake from 1 or 2 wheels (It goes away once I get the tires rotated.)... In April the TPMS light came on, I had gone to the dealer for an oil change as they never changed it before I bought it which was strange, the light magically had turned off and they could not figure it out. The light turned on about a week after that. I had replaced my brakes at the Toyota dealer in December of 2021, they used Lexus parts. Now in January, the braking performance has gone back to how it used to be, and periodically they grind while braking. Toyota won't warranty them either... The steering wheel shake is most likely a bent rim, as the first owner hit a pothole at 3,000 miles in 08 and reported a steering wheel shake/pulls to the right. My tires are dated back in 2016, so they aren't unbalanced. If I were to get a new(er) vehicle, it would be either a current-gen Corolla, Mazda 3 hatch (as I do not want CD), current-gen accord 1.5 or 2.0t, 21'cx-30, 20' Rav4, or a 2021 Camry. I am weary of Honda with reliability, but Honda has been making turbo engines for years so they know what they're doing. Any opinions would help me out big time, all the repairs come to a total of at least 1200, possibly even more... The vehicle (Private party) is worth 13-15K, trade-in 11-12.5K (With everything I have done to the vehicle, ceramic coating, leather/plastic/vinyl treatments, etc.) Thank you! | |||||
