| Hey Scotty, I have a 2013 Mini Cooper Base model and recently I been having to crank up the engine twice. I’m thinking it’s either the alternator or the battery what do u think. I also installed aftermarket halogen headlights about a year ago maybe that has something to do with it. | |||||

| I have a 2010 Mini Cooper 1.6 ltr I just got the car and ran my scanner codes came back for o2 sensors and catalytic converter . I bought the cat from Canada and the o2 sensors from Autozone. I had to take this car to pass emissions and it just won't pass. There is no check engine light on. It's just reading NOT ready???? For the CAt and o2 sensors. They keep telling me i have to relearn the CARS computer .???? | |||||

| Hi Scotty! I have a manual transmission 2007 Mini Cooper S with 69K miles on it (4 cylinders, 1.6l turbocharged, no mods). My problem is that the idle is not stable, drops RPM, and has a weird sound. I'm assuming the problem is that the timing chain tensioner does not stretch the chain enough and causes the chain to hit something because the sound comes from near the chain. Or the engine won't get enough fuel? I'm not sure. The only thing I changed is the VVT solenoid, but it didn't solve the problem. No check engine light nor codes. Here is a video so it'l ... | |||||

| My wife has a 2013 Mini Cooper Roadster Convertible with ~64,000 miles. The transmission in her car still functions relatively normally but every now and then it will shift hard. It doesn't feel like it will break anytime soon but it does have me questioning how long it will last. How long do these transmissions last usually? I did change the transmission fluid @55,000 miles and it seemed to shift hard less often. While my wife definitely overpaid for the car at Carmax prior to the pandemic and spent $5k on a 125,000 mile warranty, I feel it will come i ... | |||||

| Hey Scotty love your channel I just moved to the UK and bought a 08 Mini Cooper S with 61k miles, I'm getting blue smoke at idle when it's warm, not at cold start, looked at the PCV hose and there is some oil in it and there is some residue around that area on the valve cover, my tools haven't arrived in country for me to look at the turbo hoses yet but I'm going to change the valve cover because the PCV valve is built into it and it is the simplest and cheapest to change, if that doesn't fix it what would the next logical step be valve seals or guides? any ... | |||||

| Hi scotty! I have a Mini Cooper 2009 3 door wagon clubman with 186,000 - 187,000 miles not sure. Its a manual transmission and the car runs fine! But all of a sudden yesterday I noticed a weird sound on the motor. It sounds like water boiling or like a squeaky sound as soon as I turn it on and when I’m in neutral also.
