| tesla can add this technology. I don't mind that. tesla should add back the column shifter, so people don't have a heart attack. Otherwise, it's a bad idea. | |||||

| What do you think of the new tesla Model S method of shifting? It allegedly automatically detects which gear it needs to be in, based on sensors. And if the driver needs to select forward or reverse, they do it through the touch screen interface. | |||||
| Answer to: Do you think Tesla should inquire Chrysler? | 22Relevance | 5 years ago | Kerem | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| When it comes to the consumer standpoint of buying vehicles:Tesla makes complicated electric cars and thinks too far into the future and doesn't really care about it's customers Chrysler is aquired by Fiat and Fiat's business hear is junk so they most likely will keep onto Chrysler and put their junky Fiat technology into Chrysler. So we would have tesla/Chrysler/Fiat/Jeep/Dodge/Ram. Seems like a recapy for disaster. | |||||

| Not a question necessary, but more of an observation. Scotty has been talking about how tesla is losing market share and inventory is piling up. I drove by a local dealership and they are chock full of cars (I think some were parked on the grass honestly). Well, a guy from my BJJ class this morning who worked for tesla was laid off because he was notified they were shuttering their entire (I mean it sounds like their entire world) Supercharging operations. That sounds HUGE! tesla lays off executives, cuts Supercharger division - Autoblog Also, wonderin ... | |||||

| Yes, The media reacting to tesla's disappointing Q3 results. (TLDR: margin came in at 7.6% down from 17.2% Q3 '22, lower than expected production, earnings, and revenue - this is the first time tesla has not performed to expectation since Q2 2019) tesla blames all of this on factory upgrades, and a high interest rate environment. notably they also had quite low quarterly net-income, tesla says it's due to going "full-tilt" on setting up their Mexican factory (... as if tesla's quality wasn't bad enough already) - Do the media have a point? Yea - With the cur ... | |||||

| IMHO, it has to do with several factors: infrastructure, culture/allure/status, engineering/quality*. With infrastructure, tesla built up a pretty good network in California. Way better and much earlier than any other state. Especially in major cities, in Northern California, they are all over the place. California is California. And it’s “cool” to have a tesla, especially the Y and the 3. It’s probably the most successful electric car today, and that breeds other folks to jump on board. The model 3 has been out for about 5 years. And the Y just a bit sho ... | |||||

| NJ man dies in crash — tesla battery fire takes 2 hours to put out. A New Jersey man died in a crash on the Palisades Interstate Parkway in New York during Saturday's snow when his tesla slid off the road. The crash ignited the car's lithium battery, requiring several thousand gallons of water to douse the flames. | |||||

| The reason I'm asking this question is would it be better if tesla assumed ownership of Chrysler and bring Chrysler back under American ownership and restructure and to make it a better company. And not only that will give Chrysler an edge in electric vehicles and technology. But it will also give tesla a network of dealerships to work with. That are long established in many communities throughout our country and the world. | |||||

| There are just too many if's though. Europe is first in mandating electric cars, and, so far, those people prefer VW electrics. The Honda e electric car is selling fast. Toyota will soon jump in (with far better reliability than tesla). And all it takes is one company to invent a better, lower cost battery for tesla to find itself in a bad place with all its debt. Lol. I'm not buying that stock. | |||||

| Yesterday a taxicab driver in Prague picked me up in a tesla Model S. The car was a 2014 and still was on its original battery. The guy said the car has not required any extensive repairs and he was satisfied with it overall. The odometer read 420,000 kilometers. How is this possible? His experience with tesla caught my interest since all I tend to hear is hate and lack od quality towards tesla. | |||||
| Answer to: Cybertruck update - Is it worth it? | 36Relevance | 5 years ago | Chuck Tobias | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| It's not a matter of change being "hard". Change is not always good. The push to electric vehicles makes no sense whatsoever. A large part of the reason that "less tesla's (sic) have burst into flames" is that there are so few of them compared to gasoline-powered vehicles, and when a tesla does catch on fire it is much more severe, much more difficult to put out, and more likely to trap the occupants than a conventional vehicle. And if you believe that most crashes in self-driving mode are due to driver error, I have a bridge in Brooklyn to sell you. ... | |||||

| Greetings Scotty and Community, I would like give an update along with further steps. I recently asked about if my friend should call tesla corporate about her battery not holding a charge. She told me that she did call corporate in addition to taking it in to two tesla service centers and corporate told her the same crap that the two service centers gave her, "It is normal for the battery to do that." The truth is that it is not normal and that tesla is just flat-out refusing to replace the big 75 kWh battery under warranty even though it is only 5 years ... | |||||
| Answer to: Toyota and Honda Owners switching to Tesla? | 29Relevance | 3 years ago | Whatchamacallit | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| Here’s my theory: People, like me, initially gave into Toyota and Honda on the idea that the car would be reliable and not need much repairs under their ownership. Maintenance and total cost of ownership would be less than rivals..Then, when EVs (and tesla being the poster child) came out a new message was spread about EVs being little-to-no maintenance, very few moving parts compared to ICE (and therefore less things to go wrong), and total cost of ownership that would be less than even a Toyota or Honda. I have seen comparisons showing cost of maintenance ... | |||||
