| I recently bought my friends dads SUV a 2013 Buick Enclave with 136,??? miles. He died with Covid-19. They sold it to me at a real good price. I know he put a alternator on it and he replaced the battery. He drove it two years. It started running bad and threw a code (Misfire 3 cylinder) My friends mechanic replaced a coil and the spark plugs. The plugs showed black tips some were grayish. Should I go ahead and replace all the coils? I use only real gas no Ethanol. The mechanic said these vehicles are prone to tear up and if it gives me anymore trouble sale ... | |||||
| Should I fix up my 1995 Buick Roadmaster? | 17Relevance | 5 years ago | Cruiserman | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| 90,000 mile 1995 Buick roadmaster 5.7L v8 Scotty I am a barber and recently one of my long time clients sold me a 1995 Buick roadmaster Sedan for 100 dollars because he bought himself a brand new Cadillac and I rode a motorcycle every day. The car only has 92,000 miles and runs great. It has no serious codes besides the brake light because the brake booster or master cylinder is shot and the brakes are spongy. The car has some frame rust but the rest of the body and interior is in great shape. I already changed the oil, filters and spark plugs and plug wire ... | |||||
| Answer to: How do you make a 3.6L 2011 Buick LaCrosse into a poor mans Ferrari? | 17Relevance | 5 years ago | Mod_Man | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| I have done a lot of builds in my life. Some I thought were pretty questionable. But I have never, ever had someone ask to turn a Buick into a Ferrari...even a poor man's. As @InThrustWeTrust said, get a good gaming PC and pretend because there is literally no way to make this work. Too many doors, too heavy, not enough motor....its a Buick. I mean....ANYTHING can be done but this would be a 1-off build and definitely not for a poor man.....you'd need 6-figures to convert that car into anything resembling a Ferrari as there would be so much custom fabricat ... | |||||

| Scotty I finally found a place where I can post my 3 questions I been waiting to ask for months now: So starting from the top:I researched and fell in love with the Buick Avenir (Luxury model of Enclave) 58,715 based on my built model from Buick's website, and this is probably what I will need to do to get what I want. I cannot find what I want used anywhere especially in Florida AWD is unheard of practically. However, I am hesitant now based on your videos about Toyota and Honda but I really need a comfortable roomy SUV thats great on safety as well. I ... | |||||
| Answer to: Should I buy this Buick Regal | 17Relevance | 5 years ago | Mod_Man | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| Run away. The newer Buick Regals were awful. Their build quality was so bad that when Buick dropped the model, they shot up 6 spaces in reliability in most polls. | |||||
| Answer to: 2018 Buick Encore??? | 17Relevance | 5 years ago | Whatchamacallit | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| Are you planning on keeping the Buick Encore for a long time and put 100,000-200,000 miles on it (or more)? If so, stay as far away as possible, esp. since GM quality has mostly gone downhill since the early 2000s (even earlier than that). Electrical issues will most likely get you at some point and a royal pain to track down and fix. Check this site for issues reported: | |||||

| Should I keep my Buick Allure | 17Relevance | 5 years ago | Ramblinman | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| As you said Scotty, the prices right now for used cars are high and since I check the market every week I agree. My challenge is either fixing my car or getting a new used one that I know nothing about. I've had this dark blue 2007 Buick Allure CX (LaCrosse) at for over three years with no problems but now the tires are worn out, the shocks/struts are worn out, I'm hearing a front wheel bearing squeal, the brakes will need servicing but stop fine with no noise, the engine light stays on and there is a fixable rear panel dent and quite a few scratches. (I bou ... | |||||

| A coworker/friend of mine just lost his grandmother to COVID. He inherited her 1992 Buick Roadmaster which has only 30,000 miles and change. Maybe just over. I've seen the car before, and I've met her before. There's NO way she drove it much. He wants to keep it but doesn't know how reliable of a car it could be. I think it'll be fine but told him I know of a mechanic with a website. So, I'm checking here. 1992 Buick Roadmaster with 30k and change on the clock driven by a senior that was 96 when she passed, good car? | |||||
| RE: Buick enclave | 17Relevance | 5 years ago | guruNorth | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| @jacksonishere Buick quality is better than other GM divisions. The early 3.6 engine had problems with timing chains stretch and the guides wearing out. An upgrade or re-design of the chains & guides occurred so the 2015 models should be better. The labor time to replace the timing chains on a 2015 Buick Enclave is substantial. Check to see if it is covered under warranty. | |||||
