I got a 2001 Nissan Pathfinder today I think my throttle body is struggling it has 126,512 miles on cold start it dies but I give it gas for a bit it stays on without struggling on idle. Is it possible it’s the throttle body struggling or something else? It wasn’t drove for about a week or 2
check your fuel pressure
Any struggle to accelerate you want to look at fuel pressure first and filter restrictions wether fuel or air filter.
No struggling to accelerate just on cold start
Sounds like most likely a throttle body problem. Is that still a 3.3 so it’s a cable throttle?
No my pathfinder has a 3.5l V6 24 valve and no problem accelerating just cold start
Cold start control is basically ecm or throttle body that’s why I said it sounds like a throttle body problem.. especially now that you have a code that points to the throttle body
Clean the throttle body and MAF sensor.
Start simple and cheap, as Yaser suggests. (A small two pack of CRC throttle body cleaner and MAF cleaner runs about $10). Also, check UNDERNEATH the air box to see if the intake from the ground is clogged with leaves and twigs (as can happen during the Fall season). And, if the engine air filter isn't clean, then replace that, as well.
If none of that works, the car should be scanned for codes.

weird thing is it’s not struggling to idle I would think if it’s struggling to idle its having fuel troubles
One of the points of the advice is to get the vehicle as close to a "newish" baseline (clean throttle, clean MAF sensor, clean engine air filter and clean intake underneath the air filter housing) as possible. The reason is to eliminate these because they are what's known as "intervening variables" potentially affecting the vehicle.
Once you have done that, you've eliminated those potentially confounding variables, since it is, after all, an air/fuel ratio issue. (And they are cheap and easy to do). THEN, you scan for both Diagnostic Trouble Codes and Mode 6 (Enhanced Diagnostics) to gain some sort of clue as to where to look from there. And there are many possibilities, from a defective ECU, to connectors with "the crusties," to an issue with wiring to-and-from, to a defective or dirty MAF, or even a defective throttle body, sensor, or even cable (if a 21 year old Pathfinder still uses a cable).
Just don't fire the "parts cannon" until the cheap and easy are done first, the codes, Mode 6 and Live Data have been read, and understood. (Live Data might be very useful, if you or your mechanic understand what the graphs tell the both of you).
It threw off idle air control valve codes so it’s that sadly
