2009 Camry 2.4L AT with 460,000 miles - oil-consump, runs good, rebuild?

Hi Scotty - I have a 2009 Camry SE 2.4L [5-spd Auto-Transmission] with 460,000 miles (original engine/transmission & owner since 60k miles) Runs great overall, ie LTFT is consistently ~0  MPG averages 29-30...

While idling the car parked, if I pop the hood, remove the oil-filler cap on the crankcase and put my hand over it I can feel air blowing out.  Without doing a compression test, isn't this a clear indication of lost compression? If so, is this lost compression likely caused by the same thing that's also causing above average oil-consumption? I presume the cause is stuck/defective piston-rings notorious on these 2azfe engines. Unfortunately this car's mileage was well above the limit to qualify at the time Toyota announced the recall.

Anyway, I'd like to keep it going as long as I can.  I do almost all routine maintenance myself and despite it's high mileage the transmission has been flawless. I've already put a lot of money into replacing suspension and exhaust parts many times over the years, etc., and I just love everything about this car from its looks to its accessories to the ease of working on it. 

1. If I wanted to have this engine rebuilt [at least to fix oil-consumption/lost-compression] can you provide any advice for finding a quality engine rebuilder?

2. Are there additional jobs you'd recommend getting done during the rebuild, with the head out & everything accessible, like replacing valve seals?

3. What would a fair ball-park range price be to rebuild the 2AZ-FE engine?

if you want to fix the engine and me I just continue to drive until it drops but if you do want to fix it get one of those engines in Japan customer here just did that got the engine for $500 pay the mechanic 600 to put it in and it runs like a top those used Japanese engines are very low mileage. Practically no one rebuilds them correctly in the United States

I'd go with Scotty's advice on that. If you can get a cheap motor from an import specialist and have them install it, you would save thousands.
