Is there any issues with the VCM ,Vehicle Cylinder Management, on the 2011 Honda Accords with the 3.5L V6 (Auto)Transmission. My Vehicle has 180,000 miles and I change the oil and oil filter every 3,000 miles with the recommended 0w-20. I currently have no issues
I've also been told that I should change my oil till 6,000 miles by countless forums since it is synthetic oil but I fear that would cause issues down in the line with the VCM and Engine.
The whole idea (cylinder deactivation) has issues no matter which company makes it. Changing oil more frequently is good for engine but 3k miles is overkill for a normal driving condition.
That year and model, among others, were part of a class action lawsuit that Honda settled: see below

The fact that you have not had issues and change the oil every 3,000 miles is great! That system needs clean oil to operate properly, so I would continue what you are doing at every 3,000 miles (and definitely no more than every 5,000 miles). That being said, who knows how much wear is in your particular engine and life is left, but if it were mine I would disable the VCM as soon as possible.
I yesterday tested compression.... the engine and seems healthy but only time wilI tell. I read that even deactivating the vcm would be really easy by buying a vcm muzzler.
