2014 Santa Fe, 2014, Automatic, Limited V6 3.3L, 110K, p0018

Car seems to be running fine. Only owner and always seemed to be underpowered. Starts up fine and no weird noises usually. Used to make a coffee maker bubbling noise but have not hear in thousands of miles. Shop says the chain and tensioner replacement will likely fix the issue. I already changed the crankshaft position sensor.

Is this possible to fix on my own? Any resource on how to get to the chain in the first place? I paid AllData and have the repair manual but none seem to help on how to access the chain. It just skips all the steps to where the chain in right in front of you.

Thanks for any help!

It's a relatively complex job replacing the timing chain but if you want to see step by step just subscribe to all data diy.com it's 20 something bucks a year and they have all the directions you need and you can see if you can try the job or not

I might have to pay a mechanic under the table on this job. There is a 2 parter 2010 Santa Fe chain replacement video on Youtube and due to the multiple steps and it being an interference motor do not want to kill my car. Thanks for personally responding Scotty. I found you out a month ago on Youtube, watch about 2 videos a day, and think you are a solid content creator and clear speaking motorhead. Have a great day!

why under the table? Good mechanics won't want to do anything shady.
