CVT Transmission in limp mode

I've had some troubles with my Ford Fivehundred 2007, my transmission has been stuck in limp mode and I can't get the car any higher than 40 miles an hour without revving the engine to 4k+ rpms. I've had the Ford dealer near me look at it, they told me that the trans is dead and I'll need to junk the car. I've got codes down below from what I read on it myself.

U0101 P0155 P0403 P0135 P0443

I decided to get a new car in the mean time, which sucks because of the market right now, but I really needed one for my job. So I decided to get a 2004 Acura TL with 89500 miles on it.

If there's anything I should try to fix on my Ford fivehundred before I junk it, let me know, I'm open to anything.

Mileage?

Sorry, my mileage is only 95000

With these ZF CVT transmissions sadly usually there isn’t much that you can do.

It is very hard to find parts or replacement units for this model. Usually the weak points are the belt, the cones and the shaft(s?) it could cost a fortune to repair and most people can’t do it correctly anyway…

I agree that junking the thing sadly might be the best idea, but first I’d scan it with a proper four/full-system scanner to see other codes you can’t look up using an OBD-II scanner… maybe it’s just a bad TCM or maybe a sensor or something that isn’t just mechanical wear of its internals…

but, many people claim that ~90k miles (150k km) is just how much these last under regular use, so i wouldn’t put any real money into it.

just another “great” ZF transmission.
