I’ve always have been told to turn off the heat/ A/C before turning off my car. A few times, I’ve forgotten and left it on. Would leaving it on when shutting off the car all the time harm the system/ compressor??

I have an 04 Park Avenue with the computer controlled climate system, a 1996 F-150, and a 2002 4Runner.. both the Ford and Toyota have manual climate control systems. Would it hurt to leave the climate control in the Park Avenue on when shutting off the engine since its computer controlled?

Way, way back in the day it made a difference. But on modern cars, it doesn't hurt a thing. You're ok.
