Scotty, I have a 2001 Lexus LS430 with 203,000 miles. The car runs like a top, the only concern I have is sometimes when I am in reverse and let’s say backing up my driveway, the car will shake/hesitate a little bit. It gets to its destination and does not happen every time I drive in reverse just some of the time. Any idea what the issue could be? Is it a major concern? I bought the car at 195K a few months back, it was a 2 owner car that was well taken care of. I had some maintenance items done right after buying the car such as replacing the timing belt, valve cover gaskets, spark plugs, ignition coil, and control arm bushings. I also had the transmission fluid replaced (not flushed) as well as the brake and power steering fluids.
Start with load testing the battery and alternator.
