Hi Scotty,
Avoid Copart at all costs. Long story short, my friends car was deemed totaled by a flood, it had all sorts of electronic issues. Copart was trying to sell it & claimed front end damage.
People here do not like BMW's due to their expensive maintenance and how they dont hold up well over time, so you wont find much of approval here. Also note that their resale value is also pretty low too, so make sure you really like it bc you'll lose your shirt trying to sell it down the road. If youre okay with all that then go for it, they are very fun to drive. Depending on where you live, if you'll need AWD for the winter I'd get the X-drive, that's why I bought my wrx. Otherwise, Id test drive and see what you like more. I'd avoid any turbo/supercharged engine options, I think those you mentioned before are N/A, but Im definitely not certain. Have a mechanic look over what ever you choose before you buy.
Also, if your main goal is power and reliability, there are better options out there outside of the BMW brand.
Really? A 200-something horsepower German entry level car?
That's what you're planing to "modify"?
C'mon.
{pear}:laughingoutloud: A Camry XLE has more horsepower and a faster 0-60 than that entry-level German crapshoot.

I just want the power to be there when I feel like but want the car to remain reliable.
What power? 250 horsepower pushing a 1.6 ton car? that's depressing.
If you want "the power to be there", a 2.0L 3-series is not the car for you.
Please go out and test drive the Accord 2.0T
InThrustWeTrust is 100% right, similar performance but reliable.
Definitely better than some germans desperately trying to get more power out of a Mini Cooper engine.
25-29k usd BMW certified preowned 330i (xdrive)
A used German car with 255 horsepower for the price of a genuinely good one.
15-20k USD BMW 328i (RWD)
So 240 horsepower? assuming all horses are still there?
Copart Hail damaged/minor dent and scratches (..) 328i's with over 100k mileag
no, that's like the last thing you want.
will commit to following upgrades
None of these help improve performance, it still is a show old entry-level "luxury" German car.
Thanx for your insights I will now just get a 2021 cpo accord 2.0 T
Anyways how would a Mazda 6 touring be?
The issue with Mazdas is reliability issues with turbocharged engines and the regular 2.5 is not high performance.
The Camry 3.5L is definitely the best, the powertrain on that thing has been proven over 20 years on the engine and for almost 10 years on the transmission - it is close to perfect, also it's available as the Lexus ES350 if """prestige""" is an issue.
With the Accord 2.0T in solid second place, the engine seems alright, and the new transmission design seems to be holding up on recent model year cars.
I just want the power to be there when I feel like but want the car to remain reliable.

Damn man you literally changed my mind any mods for honda accord you can suggest, I guess would need only cosmetic mods with this car
what would be your reason for modding the car? If you want something to mess with, I'd say go with an older car. Im good with working on cars and I dont want to mess with/ mod my daily, especially not a new car. Id say get an older car that isnt worth as much & customize it.
Howabout a 2021 Mazda sedan touring
What kind of cosmetic mods? Patrick rims? Eyelashes? Aerofoil? @dan has already explained regarding the Mazda 6. Also consider the Camry, but you’ll miss the turbo kick, which is what you seem to want..
I am looking up to these mods to make my BMW more reliable and fun to drive
Spending all that money and precious time on this, with the extra lottery juggling that is a badly done mod and all the "fun" (hard to catch and diagnose) issues, instead of getting an already reliable fun to drive car that doesn't need all the above mentioned stuff done.
But who am I to judge... it's your money, although as many have pointed out, I'd advice you to reconsider your options.
Don't do it.
