Listened to your YouTube video about octane, energy (BTU) and G-85.
I am seeing more and more Non-ethanol. Marathon and Citgo stations particularly.
What is your comment?
Interesting.
Every station around me down here in Houston is running up to 10% Ethanol, with some offering E85. Haven't seen a non-ethanol pump in years.
I use it exclusively for small engines, lawnmowers, chainsaws, aTVs, generators, etc. I have to wonder what kind of additives and detergents are in the non-ethanol gasolines. Most of the little markets around me that sell it are non-branded. some of them say on the pump “100% gasoline”. If I take them at their word, that means no additives to keep my fuel injectors clean or varnish from building up on the inside of my motor over time. Maybe it’s not as much an issue if you take the ethanol out of the mix. Great question.
I've only ever seen that at the Citgo Country Fair gas stations in Erie, PA, myself. I first noticed it last year getting gas, when I was visiting my family. I noticed it was about $1.89 for regular E10 gas and $2.25 for straight gasoline. I thought it may be for lawn equipment. Now I'm actually curious if you can run that in old engines built for leaded gasoline and not ethanol if you can add TEL to it.
