Should I go for it

I’m looking at a 2009 Toyota Camry LE for about 7,000 with 113,000 Miles on it. Should I go for it or keep looking?

I forgot to mention it is from a Dealership

Don't believe a word they will tell you about it.

That sub-generation of Toyota's had oil burning problems. Toyota partially rebuilt some of these engines, based on oil consumption criteria. So, the first thing to do is to get the VIN, call a Toyota service department, ask them to run the VIN and see if this particular engine was rebuilt. (There was a piston problem, with too small oil holes). If the engine was repaired by Toyota, then consider it, but get the price DOWN (pending a mechanic's thorough inspection of the car). If it wasn't part of this "Customer Service Program," walk away. It's too much of an oil burner.

Scotty discusses these Camry's (2007-09) in this video:

They said it wasn’t rebuilt. So I’ll definitely pass thank you for letting me know!! I’ll have to keep looking

The Toyota engine to avoid is the 2AZ-FE 2.4L.

Be sure to always cross-check against our Toyota/Honda Common Problems sticky under our Car Buying Guide below:

Glad you are continuing your search. I recommend a 2004 Buick Lesabre loaded.
