Honda Civic Infotainment Issues

First off, I would love to say congratulations on your brand-new Camry Hybrid, Scotty! You deserve it!

However, I am having an issue with the infotainment system on my new 2025 Civic Hybrid Touring that I got two months ago. Everything works fine except the "Power Flow" menu. That menu freezes and/or blacks out intermittently and it has happened seven times. I have rebooted it myself the first two times, took it in the dealer on the third occurrence, it reboots itself on occurrence four, dealer keeps it for two days on occurrence five, self-reboots on the sixth occurrence, and is blacked out on the seventh/current occurrence. In addition, my Apple CarPlay blacked out the other morning driving to work, but then started working again on my drive home.

The service advisor told me that they could not duplicate the issue with the "Power Flow" menu and I told him that it takes a week or two for the issue to return after rebooting. Even he admitted that rebooting the infotainment system doesn't fix the problem. And my software is current with no pending updates. He said a software update would fix it, but I'm not buying that excuse. It is also one of those Honda Android systems with Google Built-In since I have the Touring trim. What could be potentially wrong with this car? It is brand-new with only 3,700 miles on it. And should I get Honda Corporate involved at this point? Because whatever fixes and responses I get from the dealer are unacceptable. I have another dealer service appointment for Monday, but I hope I get a real fix during my visit. I also have video documentation of each occurence.

I love the car, but not these problems that are unbecoming of a Honda.

Realize Honda just recalled a bunch of them for that same exact problem. It seems like Honda doesn't even know how to fix it but run your VIN number. Just Google how to check if I have any recalls in my car. Follow the directions and put your VIN number in and see if it's recalled. Obviously Honda's having problems with those systems. All the companies just make that crap too complex these days

Thanks. Apparently it needed an over-the-air software update and the service advisor at the dealer told me to use my cellular hotspot to have an internet connection to perform the update. It worked and so far, so good. Everything is working properly as of right now.

@anthony-zingale good to hear the update resolved your issues, thanks for the update
