| Hi Scotty and Friends, I have an '01 Civic LX, automatic, with 208,000 miles. Runs great, but has the most annoying random/intermittent buck(shake) that occurs only when the car has come to operating temperature and is sitting at idle ~700rpms (eg, stop light). It will be sitting, running smoothly, then there'll be a sudden shake that feels like a kick or like the car is trying to buck. Seems to happen after initial car start or after sitting at a light for a minute. Happens more often after cold start but still happens after engine is warm. | If the oil you drain isn't nasty dark, and there's no sign of leakage, I'd wait on any of the ATS or other oil additives. I'd pay more attention to the fuel - adding some Techron there, check the fuel filter if it's accessible. And I'd change the ATF, as that has been a bigger source of problems on Hondas - the engines are a strong point. | |||||

| Thanks Avalon04, I will be flushing and checking the brakes. I just picked up new tires, even though only one showed a slight cracking. Thank you I am feeling 100% better. | |||||
