| I drive a 2000 Buick LeSabre Limited to and from work about 15 miles a day. My mother originally bought the car new and I inherited it about 14 years ago. It has 125,000 miles on it and gets 23 plus miles per gallon during my suburban to city daily drive during the work week with occasional short errands.Drives better than our 2019 Buick Enclave and 2017 Buick Lacrosse (which my daughter managed to wrangle away) and 2003 GMC Yukon XL Denali. Anyway, from the time my mother bought the car, the "security" light will pop on periodically but has no ill effect o ... | |||||

| ... transmission, got 40k miles just over 3 years, just out of warranty, then 3 gears slips, still driving it in town for almost two years by shift manually. So ringings true to want you often say about rebuit transmissions and being able to continue to drive cars. Paid almost $5000 so got screwed on that. I'm looking to replace it with a Buick rainer, last year made was 2007, I'm hoping to find one from a private party, inline 6, most are All-wheel driveway, so will likely have to settle on that and needed for Chicago area winters, looks to go for betwee ... | |||||
| Should I keep my Buick Allure | 27Relevance | 5 years ago | Ramblinman | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| As you said Scotty, the prices right now for used cars are high and since I check the market every week I agree. My challenge is either fixing my car or getting a new used one that I know nothing about. I've had this dark blue 2007 Buick Allure CX (LaCrosse) at for over three years with no problems but now the tires are worn out, the shocks/struts are worn out, I'm hearing a front wheel bearing squeal, the brakes will need servicing but stop fine with no noise, the engine light stays on and there is a fixable rear panel dent and quite a few scratches. (I bou ... | |||||

| Buick have been making metal trash since the 2000s. Don't waste your money on them. Also, Buick is a GM division. GM is the king of metal trashes. | |||||

| Answer to: How do you make a 3.6L 2011 Buick LaCrosse into a poor mans Ferrari? | 26Relevance | 5 years ago | Mod_Man | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| I have done a lot of builds in my life. Some I thought were pretty questionable. But I have never, ever had someone ask to turn a Buick into a Ferrari...even a poor man's. As @InThrustWeTrust said, get a good gaming PC and pretend because there is literally no way to make this work. Too many doors, too heavy, not enough motor....its a Buick. I mean....ANYTHING can be done but this would be a 1-off build and definitely not for a poor man.....you'd need 6-figures to convert that car into anything resembling a Ferrari as there would be so much custom fabricat ... | |||||
| Buick 3800 Series 3 V6 (in an '06 Lacrosse CXL) LOW GAS MILEAGE | 26Relevance | 5 years ago | FutureSoCalEscapee | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| Inherited my Dad's Lacrosse and it has crap for MPG. The car has only 23k on it! Driven 2-4 times a month, but only for short trips since 2008. Averaging 14.5 MPG combined. Given TopTier (Chevron/Shell/Costco), I did put Techron and Lucas Upper Cylinder Lube/Fuel Injector cleaner, I've got it up to 21 MPG with more frequent and longer trips. Clean air filter, MAF sensor, tire pressure is spot on. What else can be holding it back? Should I give it another of Technron before 3k miles? There's a couple of "Best engine ever" compliments on the GM 3800 Series III engine, nice. Too bad about the rest of the car. I told my dad to buy a Lexus. Damn him! 🙂 | |||||

| If it is sentimental, it is sentimental. If it’s 2 grand and is projected to last sometime, why not? But if it is 2 grand and would go into a money pit, probably try to not be so sentimental. I recommend looking into the following cars of the same platform to see what there potential problems and lifespans were/are, to see if they might come up for your car: Related Buick LeSabreBuick Park AvenuePontiac BonnevilleCadillac SevilleCadillac DeVille | |||||

| The 3.8 engine is pretty good but the rest of it is basic junk if you want to check it out look here: If you like Buick better, I think you should because of the lower amount of complaints: I doubt the Park Avenue sold 180 times less than the Impala I think the Buick is better personally. Also, I think you are jumping about 80s retro cars and 2000s Camrys and old Corollas and 2000s GM cars what do you really want? If you are fine with just an A to B car with an engine and you don't care about anything else maybe the Chevy might be OK but reall ... | |||||
| VIDEO SUGGESTION | 22Relevance | 2 years ago | dr me | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| Scotty, Love your videos. I have a suggestion for a video to educate the public on the dirty tricks that car dealers do. I am in the market for a 2024 Rav4 XLE. I obtained a KBB trade-in of 17,983 with a range of 16K to 19K and an Instant Cash Offer of 16414. I am trading a 2018 Buick Lacrosse Essece with 56000 miles in excellent condition. I took the KBB paper to one deler and they offered 11K and told me the KBB was no good. Another dealer offered me 17K but wanted to charge me 999 for docs, 1699 for dealer appearance pkg. Needless to say, I drive a buic ... | |||||
