| Is it harmful to drive in Eco mode | 18Relevance | 3 years ago | jjroman | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| I have a 2021 Rav 4 Prime SE and commute from Upstate NY all the way down to Williamsburg Brooklyn daily for work about 160 miles daily. Got the car august of 2021 and already have 51,000 miles on it. I've been driving the car on Eco the entire time. Does this cause any harm? Should I drive in normal every once in a while? | |||||

| Good catch! (Some Ford F-150 engines that year are flex-fuel but not the V6 Eco-boost.) It sounds from the description though that the engine has suffered some serious damage. | |||||

| Ecoboost is a type of turbocharged engine. You're confusing it with "Flex Fuel" which designates an engine built for E85. You need to read your owner's manual or the sticker on the fuel door. You'll have to empty the tank. | |||||

| Hi Scotty, I have a 2021 Ford Mustang Eco Boost 2.3 high performance package. I believe it’s the same engine in the Focus R. It also has a turbo. The car is completely stock. Ford recommends motor craft 5w50. The vehicle is direct injection. My question is what is the best oil for a direct injection turbo car. Ford seems to have a higher Noack % in their oil and higher Ash level then other brands like Amsoil and Mobil 1? Also would you recommend a reputable catch can as in the UPR duel passenger side or is it a waste of time. I’m concerned about throwing Cel ... | |||||

| My 2021 Camry SE gasoline came with Eco mode. Should I turn it on or off? Much of my drivin is in the city limit. Top speed is around 55 mph. And I drive like 30 mins a day. Gas consumption isnt a big deal since its a Camry after all. I just want the engine to last long. | |||||

| How are the V6 F-150 non eco boosts? | 18Relevance | 5 years ago | Seeitknowit171 | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| Hey I know Scotty always the Eco boost are not good because of turbos and GDI wears out faster and are not reliable and to go with the V8 instead. Though I do not hear much about the regular V6 that’s usually in the basic F-150 like the new 3.3, 3.7, 4.2, and the old 4.9 are any of those good?, and how is the new 3.0 V6 diesel F-150? | |||||

| I purchased a used 2015 XLT F150 2.7L V6 Twin Turbo 4WD less than two years ago out of Manassas, VA. Unfortunately, it didn't come with their warranty (called VINS CARE) since it was over 100K miles already. Like stated, its an Eco-boost so I decided to fill up the gas with E85 at Sheetz near my place in Stafford, VA. I started on a trip to Louisville, KY this past week and when I reached West Virginia my engine light came on and it started to misfire. I had it towed to a local mechanic. The codes where for: transmission pump down, misfires, both banks too ... | |||||

| Answer to: ECO Mode or Normal Mode? | 18Relevance | 5 years ago | InThrustWeTrust | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| First of all, congratulations! That’s your choice, however Eco mode will kill acceleration (and keep revs low). Since you only drive 20 miles a day, I’d leave it in normal mode & enjoy your engine for what it is. | |||||
| Answer to: Is extra A/C compressor cycling from Eco mode bad for clutch? | 18Relevance | 5 years ago | MountainManJoe | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| Where did you read that it's more often? I think Eco mode is actually better for the clutch because it engages it less. The lower duty cycle means longer coil life. | |||||
