| RE: Best cars under 5k? | 16Relevance | 5 years ago | Kerem | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| I would stay away from Hybrid cars in that budget for repair, maintenance, and insurance reasons. Electric car's I would also not reccomend but they are more reliable than the Hybrid's but most people dont have time for it to charge. But if you want them the nissan leaf is good can find them cheap and dont have the transmission problems a normal nissan has. | |||||
| Answer to: Did incorrect transmission fluid ruin my transmission? | 15Relevance | 3 years ago | Chuck Tobias | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| You would need to compare the specifications between that and the official nissan fluid. (Nissan of course does not make their own fluids, they are made to nissan's specifications by a 3rd party.) To be on the safe side you could always change out all the fluid in the transmission with the nissan branded stuff. However nissan/Jatco CVTs are notoriously weak. Yours has already lasted longer than expected and may have already been on its last legs. | |||||
| A Truly Efficacious Car Cleaning Tip | 20Relevance | 4 years ago | JRSpe | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| Scotty, et al, FWIW: Has the War Department been getting on your case about cleaning the car's interior because she is tired of all of the accumulated dust, dirt, food crumbs, trash, gravel, etc. but you do not want to spend the hour(s) it would take to do all of the wiping down and vacuuming? Have you discovered that the black interior that looked so "bad" when you bought the car is nothing but a dust and dirt magnet that requires constant attention if it is to be kept clean? If so, then I have just two words for you ... leaf blower. Laugh if you will but it works really well and the job is done in just a couple of minutes. leaf blower is also a fast way to "sweep" the garage floor, remove a light dry snow fall on the driveway, and, oh yes, it also works on the fall leaves. | |||||
| Answer to: Best way to level rear | 20Relevance | 5 years ago | Baloney | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| Get height adjustable front coil over shocks with proper spring rate on them. rear shocks + proper leaf springs/ coil spring can lift your truck. For the leveling would you eliminate stock rake( front is lower than rear)? for shock absorbers I recommend you get ones with remote reservoirs, more oil in tubes can prevent over heating. The capacity of coil springs / leaf springs depends one how heavy is your truck, any additional weight?(steel bumpers, winch, spare tire mount, side owning, tent on top, full under body amour, rock rails, other overlander builds in/on your truck bed...) | |||||

But they always had a shaky and odd financial history... -Btw, researching that, I found that Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi have parterenred with Geely to develop EV tech. | What are some good budget electric/hybrid cars that are worth financing used? | 19Relevance | 3 years ago | SmolCatDude710 | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| Hey Scotty and everybody, Me and my partner are wondering what are some good hybrid and electric cars, especially ones that feel like/drives similarly to the nissan Versa SL 2007/08 I can't remember the exact year. Anyway that car was nice for all our needs which was them doing food delivery, teaching me how to drive, and taking our dog out to places like parks/rivers/beaches/ect. The nissan Versa for unclear reasons had the piston crack through the engine block and was told that they would have to get a whole new engine. So far in our area there are som ... | |||||

| The Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi alliance was formed back in 1999. So a Mitsubishi from 2010-2011 is affected. In the case of nissan they went way downhill after joining the alliance, but in the case of Mitsubishi they were just as bad before the alliance. Mitsubishi transmissions are no better than nissan transmissions. In fact, nissan RWD transmissions are better than nissan FWD transmissions and Mitsubishi transmissions. | |||||

| 2018 nissan Murano SV o v6 Automatic 56k miles. Hi Scotty, My wife has nissan murano suv which she likes because of its tech features ( blind spot detection, etc). But I'm aware thanks to watching your videos about nissan that its quality sucks. I tried to see if the model she has will have issues with engine or transmission but so far it seems reliable. I'm a toyota guy and have been. I found out that Lexus has some of the same tech features as nissan so I am hoping I can convince her to trade it in. How much time do you think we have before the n ... | |||||
| Slowest selling used and new vehicles | 19Relevance | 3 years ago | Whatchamacallit | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| According to a recent study by iSeeCars the following 10 vehicles were the slowest-selling used cars and all took longer than 60 days to sell on average: . Buick Enclave: 64.3 days Chrysler 300: 64.7 Chevrolet Blazer: 65.9 Land Rover Range Rover: 68.4 Tesla Model X: 71.4 Cadillac XT4: 71.9 Land Rover Discovery Sport: 73.6 Ford Mustang Mach-E: 75.8 Buick Envision: 82.3 Tesla Model S: 88.3 . Meanwhile, the following 10 new cars were the slowest-moving and averaged more than 80 days. . Infiniti QX80: 87.2 nissan Murano: 88.7 Ford Edge: 93.6 nissan leaf: 95.2 Lincoln Aviator: 105.1 Mazda MX-5 Miata: 107.3 Ford Mustang: 108.6 Buick Envision: 117.0 Land Rover Discovery Sport: 119.4 Jeep Cherokee: 128.7 . Overall, used cars sold in 49 days on average, which iSeeCars noted as an improvement over a year ago. At the same time, new car sales have slowed by 25.7 percent, and electric vehicles of all types take twice as long to sell on average than they did in the previous year. While that’s not the best news for automakers, it could mean better prices and a stronger negotiating position for buyers in the finance office. Then again, with the exception of the Mazda Miata none of these vehicles are ones Scotty or we recommend to buy in the first place. . Source: | |||||
| Answer to: 2016 Nissan Rogue 97,000km Code P0776 - Pressure control solenoid B. Performance or Stuck Off. | 18Relevance | 5 years ago | MountainManJoe | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| 1. From what I understand, the pressure control solenoid is part of the transmission, so there is no way nissan should be able to say "not covered", am I right? It's not that simple, I'm afraid. You will have to read the fine print on the warranty. There will be several exceptions. 2. How big of a problem is this? I told him not to get a nissan, and if they fix it under warranty, should he trade it in for a Rav4? Maybe a leaf if he's going to go electric? Rav4 is a good car. EV's are very expensive to repair. 3. Assuming it wasn't under warranty, wha ... | |||||
| Answer to: Buying 2012 Nissan Leaf with 5.3k miles on odometer, is it okay if its never been serviced by a dealer? | 15Relevance | 3 years ago | Chuck Tobias | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| About the only benefit to an electric car is that it needs a lot less maintenance than a normal car. So it may be OK from that standpoint. The low mileage is very suspicious and should be verified. How long do you expect to keep it? The main battery pack may be OK for now but at 11 years old it will likely be failing within the next few years. So figure in the cost of replacing the battery if you want to keep it much longer than that. | |||||

| Well, those things don't need much servicing. Just realize they have a limited range. At least don't go all that far before they run out of power. But if you're happy with that, try to talk them down on price because theleafs have one of the lowest resale values of all cars out there | |||||

| One guy... who put on a really good stunt that happened to promote a special effects company. Most owners seem to really like their cars. They're not going " *sigh!* the government made me do it." It WILL get more popular. It's inevitable. Especially as prices drop and the range goes up. | |||||
