I have a 2006 Nissan Pathfinder.
The crankshaft pulley seal is leaking.
I have all the parts to change it myself, do you have any tips how to get the Crankshaft Pulley off, replace the seal and when we put it back on, what do we torque it to in Nm.
Thanks huge fan of your channel.
Well it's very hard to talk them because the engine spins when you turn it you really have to have a strap wrench to hold the crank pulley in place to get it off and to put it back on. Unless it's a standard transmission we can just put it in gear put the brakes on then the engine won't turn. I do have tricks on how to use a cheater bar in the starter of the engine to break it loose though check that on the Scotty camera channel just put in removing crankshaft pulley Scotty
Awesome.
Yeah I found the video.
That hopefully will work with mine taking it off.
So there is no way to hold the engine in a auto gear box? Only manuals.
Okay, I will have to find a strap wrench when I reinstall it.
I read we have to bolt it down to roughly 110 Nm, not sure if that is correct though.
Thank you for the reply
