Hello,
Im a poor college student and am buying my first car. However, there are so many cars and so many opinions, I’m completely lost...
What is the best car I can buy in the US for under 6000$
thanks for the help
All these cars are extremely reliable and will need very little maintenance depending on the condition you buy it in. I separated these cars in 2 categories, Regular cars and fun sporty cars. I would stay away from older Honda automatic transmissions as they tend to break. If you are to get an older Honda I recommend getting a manual transmission.
Regular Cars:
Toyota Corolla
Toyota Camry
Honda Accord
Honda Civic
Fun Sporty Cars:
8th gen Honda Civic Si (watch for oil leaks I recommend changing the vtec selenoid gasket)
Nissan 350z with a vq35HR engine (2007 and 2008 and try getting one under 120K miles)
Toyota Celica
Toyota Solara
Acura RSX (same as the honda civic si)
Acura Integra
Lexus IS300
That's Basically all the cars I can think of with a bit of information I know for each car. Please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong :/

Thank you! I’ll check them out!
What kind of car are you looking for? Do you need 4wheel drive/all wheel drive? Does gas mileage matter? Do you like driving large or small cars?

I mainly just want a reliable cheap car that won’t give me too many expenses. It has to be a 4 door car but that’s mainly it.
I am kind of bias towards Fords. Crown Vics are inexpensive, reliable, and safe. Honda CRVs have a good reputation to my knowledge.
2005 civic or Corolla. Not a beauty but gets you where you wanna go. And dirt cheap.
