Hi Scotty, I'm looking at buying a used 2016 Hyundai Sonata Limited Hybrid with 73000 kilometers on it. Being sold from a dealership, $15,500 list price plus fees and tax. This is the carfax: https://vhr.carfax.ca/?id=3QmZknl8KwUAf0h4IyIFBrKcn0EXaF1R
Does this look like a reasonable deal? What suggestions would you have?
Stay away from that car. Hyundai has enough problems with gasoline engines. Adding hybrid to it is a receipt for disaster.
I suggest you stop looking at Hyundai/Kia products entirely & start looking at some regular petrol Camry/Accords..
What you’ll save in fuel, you’ll spend (more) in parts & repairs.
Definite pass. It's a Hyundai, which are junk, and It is WAY overpriced.
Post-2010 Hyundai Motor Group product + Hybrid + not original owner = a definite pass.

I owned a 2017 Hyundai Sonata SE Hybrid with 55k miles and drove it until 61k miles before I bought my 2013 GT Ford Mustang recently. The thing was nice, but I knew all the issues those cars can have. White paint peels, battery is expensive to replace out of warranty, engines catch fire, seize, or explode by the cause of rod bearings, electrical issues, oil burning, etc. Nice to drive, not long term.
