I run a ford fiesta 2013 se 5mt.
yea the basetrim, but hey it's a manual, plus I don't earn my living (yet) :/
(I know there's a similar post out there by me a while ago, but yea this hasn't been fixed till now lol)
I had battery light came on with codes U012D and U0469 5 month ago...
At first the battery light come and goes, but after a week or so it's always there.
But charging voltage seems fine, my alternator is putting out 14.3 volts by default after ignition.
I guess smart charge isn't been working.....? But no problemn driving around, and I've been driving with the light for 5 month till now.
Summer break is coming up and I finally will have some free time to fix that.
Although it drives fine I'm just annoyed to stair at a red light on my dash all day.
I remember I was advised to check some wiring connectivity but wasn't sure about the details.
Advice? Please! THANKS!!! 
Well, do check the wiring. A little corrosion or loose connectors can often do that. But if you can't find anything personally, I'd live with it as long as it's charging cuz Ford's off and have electrical communication problems as they age
