Hello Scotty.
I know you are not a huge fan of Infinitis, but I have had a few over the years and I have been happy with them. I especially like the VQ’s in the G sedans and FX.
I am currently looking at the QX50. I like it from a design and feature standpoint. But I have two major concerns. The engine and transmission.
It still uses a CVT made by Jatco. That worries me. And I am pretty sure it worries you as well. But what I want to know is your opinion of the Variable Compression engine they are using. The idea of variable length connecting rods seems like a bad idea.
Love to hear you do a piece of this.
Thanks.

Long term it’s definitely not a good idea to own one of these vehicles. Anyone that is seriously interested in buying one of these vehicles should just lease it instead and return before the warranty expires. Personally, I’d pass on it altogether.
Yeah I wouldn't touch one of those variable y compressions engines with a 10 ft. Paul. I also did not like their CVT transmissions. I would never buy a jadco equipped vehicle
