listened to your salvaged title post. we purchased a 2000 Honda Accord coupe V6. this car came with the small business that we purchased in 2015 and the car was part of the; deal for the business and it has a salvaged title. now there is a bit of background here, the original owner started this company (franchise) from the ground and didn't have the funds to spend on a used vehicle.she went to a police auction and bought this vehicle, it ran pretty good and was pleasing to the eye. now I'm not saying it was perfect but it wasn't a bad little car. I do not know the mileage at date of purchase but 15 yrs later it has 153??? miles on it and we gave it to our son at age 17 and he loves it. when I first looked at the car I thought it may; have had front end damage because both front fenders hood and bumper paint is a shade darker than the back half of car. I grew up in an auto machine shop with my grand father and can turn a wrench. notice that I didn't say I am a mechanic. at the age of 21 I joined the Coast guard and made it a career. I did stay close to my roots and was always working on something boats, cars, ships, I just like turning a wrench.
so before we gave it to our son I did a full inspection and we are still taking care of the last few things that make me feel comfortable with him driving. while doing so I tried to find the damage that would cause a repaint. as of date I have not found any and I do me any damage. which leads me to believe that because it was confiscated by law enforcement we believe for drugs ( and I have looked everywhere for drugs they didn't find to no avail. thank God) thats why we believe it was given a salvaged title to be able to auction it off. what's your thoughts?

Well that makes total sense. You don't see any damage. It could have been anything to do with a robbery or drugs or whatever
