[Solved] Most reliable used electric vehicles

I'm looking for a good value on an electric car for driving around town. I get free Level 2 charging at home and at work, and my commute is short enough I'm not worried about range.

What do you think of a 5 year old BMW i3? Or 5 year old Nissan LEAF? Anything else that you think might be more reliable?

I'm generally wary of used American cars, but maybe their low-quality reputation doesn't apply to something like a Chevy Bolt, if there's no transmission to fail. What do you think?

Clarification: How many years and miles do you need it to last you?

Phenomenal question! Probably looking to keep it 5 years and 10K miles (average 40 miles/week).

Scotty’s opinion on an i3 -

Proceed with caution though, and know what you’re getting yourself into.

Thanks! Does Scotty have a video on Nissan LEAF? Or Chevy Bolt?

I don't think reliability and electric vehicles don't mix too well. Buying a used electric car makes it more unlikely to last long.  Consider watching Scotty's video that InThrustWeTrust posted on Scotty's take on one of the electric vehicles.

As someone that owns one I can tell you the Chevy Volt/ Cadillac ELR has been almost perfect. I don't know about now with the crazy prices but you used to be able to get a Volt for about $12K to $15K.
