Hi Scotty, I have a 2002 Toyota Corolla with a 5 speed manual transmission. When letting out the clutch from a stop in any gear, the car shakes and shudders horribly. This only happens at a lower rpm. If I raise the rpms much higher than normal, the shudder isn’t nearly as noticeable. However, I can smell burnt clutch every time I do this. Seems to shift well while driving with the exception of downshifting (shudders as well unless I rev match). Everything on the exterior seems fine (motor mounts, axles, etc). Is this more than just a bad clutch disc?

Clutch shudder can be caused by oil contamination due to a leaky rear main seal.
