| Hi Scotty, I have a 2006 Lexus is250 with 155000 miles. It has a strong gas odor when I drive the car. This only happens when I park , and drive again within 1-2 hours. (I tried to park and drive 6 hours later, no problem). That makes me wonder if there's gas leftover somewhere? Please help. | |||||

| Hi Scotty huge fan here. I bought a 2006 Lexus is250 recently which now has 186k miles. About 5k miles ago I did a drain and fill of the transmission fluid and added Lucas transmission slip fix to help rejuvenate the old fluid. I don’t believe the previous owner did any changes to the transmission fluid. However recently the transmission is shifting a little rough. It’s noticeable now when it was shifting smoothly before. The mechanics I go to recommended I change the fluid again, but I am not sure if that is the best idea. I want to keep the car for as long ... | |||||

| Hey Scotty I have two questions. I have a 2010 Lexus is250 with 140k miles. I was wondering if I should drain and fill the transmission fluid? The tranny still shifts fine. Also, why would my long term fuel trim on bank 1 be subtracting 7.8% even though the car runs fine? Thanks for your help! | |||||

| My Lexus is250 has 121,000 miles and recently, I noticed, when I turn the steering wheel, you hear this horrible sound. I’ve attached a link to the video. I don’t notice it when making turns on public roads, but I do slightly when turning at parking lot speeds. Don’t know what to look at. When I jack up the car with the front wheels not touching the ground and start turning them, everything is silky smooth and there’s no noise at all. Already checked both wheels for any play and both are solid. | |||||

| I just recently bought a 2007 Lexus is250 and it runs good but every time I step on it it starts to smell like rotten eggs but still runs really good so I don’t think it’s my catalytic converter, I’ve read a bunch of google reviews and I don’t even know where to start. The smell ONLY happens when I step on it, can someone lead me in the right direction? Should I go get a Smoke test done? Let me know | |||||

| Scotty, the is250 has carbon buildup issues, is the is350 a better bet as a first car with all the power that it has, and the similiar fuel economy it gets. | |||||

| Hi scotty. my 09 Lexus is250 not starting crank only. Checked with multiple keys both keys are good. Car was parked almost three weeks now I tried to start it, its cranks only no start. Check engine light was ON I got the list of codes Some were Pending and some were confirmed codes but all misfire codes were pending (P0300, P0301, P0302, P0304, C1241, C1424, U0073, U0123, U0124, U0126). I cleared the codes but still unable to start the car. I disconnect the battery too for almost 5 to 8 hours to reset the ECU but no difference. And now no check engine codes ... | |||||

| 2007 lexus is250 automatic all wheel drive 177k miles 2.5 v6 engine seller wants $6800. seller states afs light comes on after he installed aftermarket headlights so he removed the fuse altogether. Also states ac does not work when fuse is unplugged as "the ac unit is connected to the same fuse". I think the ac just does not work and he's covering it up as it doesn't make sense to me why the ac would be connected to the same fuse. Is that a real thing? Thanks for your answers! | |||||

| Hey Scotty last week I bought a 2010 Lexus is250 AWD with 174,000 miles on it from a Young Ford dealership that was an as-is no warranty purchase. They were asking 6k so I was skeptical. There is some minor cosmetic damage on the body that doesn’t bother me all that much. It didn’t pull any codes when I scanned it and everything on the fancy dash worked fine. The drivers side and passenger side axles were leaking some grease but I bought the parts to replace them next week.
