My 2015 Hyundai Elantra's speedometer is reading 68MPH when the car is stopped and OFF! When I'm on the highway it reads 128MPH when going 60MPH( I think). Not sure when it started BUT I did have a blowout of my rear passenger tire and had both rear tires replaced , didn't noticed any speedo trouble after that. The problem just suddenly appeared. Only 66,000 on it and FWD. I drove from FL to NH recently ( 1600mi+) and had no issues other than the tire blowout!

You need to see if the bad reading comes from the speed sensors or it is from the car computer. A good scan tool can read the speed sensor readings.

It's a Hyundai after all. Your speedo is broken.
