Weak Air Conditioning - 2011 Honda Accord

Hi Scotty and Co. The A/C on my 2011 Honda Accord with 120,000 miles is almost useless. It blows mostly uncooled air (not hot, just regular old air). The passenger side does blow slightly cooler than the driver's side and after a while of driving the A/C as a whole does get slightly cold! I'm going to take it to a mechanic to get evaluated, but I am very reluctant to spend a significant amount of money to test for a refrigerant leak. What should I ask the mechanic to look for/test? Would it be worth it to recharge the system? As far as I can tell the radiator fans work well and the compressor does spin when the AC is on. I just replaced the cabin air filter as well. The old one was full of leaves and crap but the new one has made a marginal difference. Thanks for your help as always.

You're probably low on refrigerant. Not surprising after 12 years and 120K miles. (They all leak a little and Scotty says Hondas are prone to it.) Your AC system should be tested for any significant leaks or a recharge may not last long.
