| @scottykilmer Thank you, actually, I will not be using the truck to tow but power is nice, just looking at the 2014 f150 FX4 5.0 and the 2014 f150 Raptor, both seem to be pretty good motors, thank you Scotty 👍 | |||||

| Drag after transmission fluid change | 10Relevance | 2 years ago | Trip8ranch | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| Looking for some mechanical help. I’m the original owner of my f150 so I know how it drives. I recently had the dealer change the fluid in my transmission, transfer case, and front/rear differentials. Now it feels like a I have a lot of drag or like I’m pulling something. Seems to be switching gears fine, no odd noises, it just feels heavy. I’ve let the dealer know, but they just told me that it could happen with new fluid in the rear diff and it will improve as that oil breaks down. That seems silly to me, but it’s been 3k miles since the fluid change and ... | |||||

| I have a 2018 f150 XLT Sport and have had transmission shifting issues since day of purchase. They replaced the computer and yada yada yada. Drove it for a while and then when covid hit and the chip shortage came around I couldn't get it in because I needed a loaner car. They didn't have any to give out and I couldn't get a rental. Of course, they loved this so that my warranty would expire, which it did. I had applied for a lemon law case, but they said I didn't qualify.... so, despite loving everything about the truck besides the shoddy transmission, ... | |||||
| Turbo v6 tundra, or v8 American truck? | 10Relevance | 2 years ago | BobTheHatKing | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| So lots of us including Scotty are saying Toyota is making a mistake removing the v8 in favor of the turbo v6. So my question is, would you still chose a Tundra over an American truck with a gasoline v8? By American I mean the two that are still truly American. We all know the rams are junk. f150 vs a GM 1500 the f150 would be a better choice imo. So I guess it just comes down to F-150 v8 vs Tundra v6 turbo. Would you still chose a Toyota over a v8? | |||||
| RE: Ford V8 new oil pump belt + Cylinders deactivation technology | 10Relevance | 2 years ago | Ahmad Tarik | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| Agree, then Scotty recommended to buy the V8 not the turbo for the f150. Do you think it is still good idea to buy the f150 with the cylinder deactivation and oil pump belt? I started to feel the turbo is better than the V8 (both are bad just we are taking now which one is the worst) | |||||
| Rebuilt Motor in a used truck | 10Relevance | 2 years ago | steveofg27 | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| Hi. My f150 recently passed away at the hands of a ram 1500. She was asleep in my driveway. I bought a 2013 f150 Lariat. The actual vehicle has 128k miles on it. It has a 3.5L V6 Ecoboost 3 in it. The seller had the engine completely rebuilt from a company in Atlanta, Georgia. Are you familiar with Jasper Engines & Transmissions? If so, did I make the right move. From what I understand Jasper is pretty good. Well under 50k miles on the engine. For the price in this market, I feel like I got away with robbery. The truck is in immaculate condition.
