Hi all,
Just test drove the Outlander and I am impressed with the car and features. But my question if I am looking for a car to last me 10-15 year category how reliable are the new Mitsubishi? And what do you think of the outlander plug in hybrid?
How many miles do you need it to last you?
If keeping it 10-15 years is the plan I'd go with a Rav4. There's still rumors about Mitsubishi pulling out of the US market for good to. Dealers in my area can't barely get new stock.
Hy!
I recommend you stay away from this generation since it came out this year.
There are some reviews I found for previous generation that show it is not trouble free

Good luck!
Those cars don't last that much beyond 100.000 miles. Its basically a Nissan (Mitsubishi is part of Renault-Nissan alliance and uses Jatco transmissions)
Stay away, Mitsubishi was taken over by Renault-Nissan a while back. Quality is just not present. I think we all know Scotty doesn't hold any of Renault/Nissan products in high regards.
They are pretty disappointing. I would even go Nissan over Mitsubishi.
Well, the 2022 model just came out but time will tell how they hold up. The only thing I can say is that is nicer than the previous gen and it's still made in Japan unlike its similar cousin the Nissan Rogue.
You said you plan to keep 10-15 years, but didn’t state the mileage. If you plan to put as much mileage as possible during that timeframe (or don’t want to be worried about piling on the miles) don’t get the Mitsubishi.
