Howdy guys, recently i’ve noticed that my 2008 chevrolet colorado 2.9l has been making the whooshing sound for a few minutes after starting and driving. im not too sure but i think maybe it’s the maf sensor since the sound goes away after driving for a few minutes. also i think i feel slightly less performance from the engine while the whooshing is there. maybe i should clean the maf sensor? that or it’s a dirty intake filter now that i think about it. how should i go about this issue, what is yalls take on it?

Have you scanned it for codes? Get a new air filter, clean the MAF sensor and make sure the snorkel from the filter to the throttle body is installed correctly and tight.
