| RE: Is it any good to buy? | 14Relevance | 4 years ago | AtlanticCanuck | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| The one I originally made this forum post for sold, now looking at another 2019 Ford Edge SEL with 73,000 miles. Dealer says there's nothing wrong with it, selling for $19,223 USD ($24,495 CAD). Still maybe a good buy? and the Edge with the 2.0L should be fine with hauling only an ATV right? | |||||

| Good day, I'm right now looking to buy a used SUV that can occasionally haul an ATV during the summer. I'm looking at a 2019 Ford Edge SEL AWD with a 4 cyl 2.0L Ecoboost engine, that has 47,000 miles on it. I haven't heard anything real negative about the Ford Edge and I'm curious if it would be a viable option. Thanks | |||||

| Scotty - Love the channel ! I've got a 2018 2.0l ecoboost Edge with 75K miles. I take amazing mechanical care of everything however about 2000 miles ago the check engine light came on and I noticed I was losing coolant ( not leaking ). Its pretty clear that the widespread coolant intrusion issue on ford ecoboost engines is the problem. There is a class action lawsuit against ford for these engines. My question - can head gasket fix possibly solve the problem ? if not ( for the short term ) what else can be done? Ford's solution right now is replacing the ... | |||||
| Shopping for a used SUV, should I buy this one or wait? | 14Relevance | 4 years ago | AtlanticCanuck | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| While it is a bad time to shop for a used vehicle right now I have come across a used 2019 Ford Edge SEL AWD 2.0L with 73,000 miles for $19,223 USD ($24,495 CAD), seems like a pretty good deal compared to all other dealerships right now asking for $22,000 to $28,000 USD. Has no issues, no repairs or mechanical changes, and looks like it's in good condition, with no rust or anything. If that vehicle doesn't turn out to be a good one then when the summer comes with hopefully better deals my goal is to look out for a 2019 or newer Toyota Rav4 LE AWD or higher ... | |||||

| The Ford Ranger Edge is really no different than any other Ranger in that generation. "Edge" is just a trim name. My 1999 Ranger is badged 4×4 Off-Road, which they ended in 2000, replacing it with just a 4×4 badge on the tailgate. Ford added the FX4 badging toward the end, as well as revived the "Splash" trim at another time. For most intents and purposes, they're practically the same truck with only slight differences. Rangers in that generation came with either a 2.3L I-4, 2.5L I-4, 3.0L Vulcan V6, or one of two 4.0L Cologne V6 variants, SOHC or OHV, all d ... | |||||

| Hello all. I have a problem.I own a automatic 2008 Ford Edge that is in very good shape, but when I accelerate and reach speeds of the 22 and 25 mph my vehicle gives a slight jerk/ buck and the RPM's shoot up slightly (like it slipped, i guess. never had any car that had a slipping issue so im going in blind with a few videos watched). I haven't 'felt' or 'noticed' it doing this at higher speeds or lower speeds. I dont have any check engine lights on and yes the light works. checked fluid, no browning, no burning and its not low. any help would be great. ... | |||||

| ... company for how far they have come, especially since they have always been the underdog compared to Toyota. Neither company is perfect, but these two companies will stand behind their product moreso than other companies. As far as Camry vs Accord, for most generations for the last 40 years, I much prefer the Accord. I like the overall combination of reliability, interior design, exterior design, and longevity. I also just like the fit and finish of Honda better than Toyota. Hard to explain why, but it’s the tiny details which gives Honda the Edge. ... | |||||

| I checked out a couple. The Ford Edge and the 2006 Honda CRV. The Honda has had continual recalls, as recent as last year. The air bags have many, many recalls, the electrical system and the accelerator pedal. What a surprise for Honda, huh? The Ford Edge reviews warn of water pump going out with no warning, uncomfortable seating. Oh well. The search continues. Thanks for the link Wingman. | |||||

| They're a bottom shelf Goodyear brand. The original name was Kelly-Springfield, the company originally made wheels for horse carriages in Springfield, Ohio, not far from where I live. I have a set of their Edge All-Terrain tires on my 1999 Ford Ranger, and they're pretty good tires. Snow is no problem for them. I also had their Edge All Seasons on my old HHR. They're a budget tire Made in the USA. | |||||

| Scotty, Looking for an used suv, station wagon, or van. Wanted a Ford Edge but do not want an ecoboost. 2018 is the last year for the 6 cylinder Edge but the water pump issue rules that out. Is there anything out there without direct injection and turbos? If not, what direct injection vehicle would be the least trouble free? I really need your advice! ....Thank you ps: am also ruling out any vehicles with poor crash test results | |||||

| Not likely, as long as you pull the plug out again, and carefully clean it off, including the Edge of the pan immediately adjacent to the freshly cut Edge. I'd even possibly consider putting a small magnet in the bottom, but I think the filter would easily take care of a few flecks. | |||||

| I've always liked the New Edge GT's, both manual and automatic. They were only putting out 260HP back then, so the auto transmissions weren't being overworked. The trick is to find one in good condition. Things to look out for on New Edge GT's: 1. ABS module - These go bad all the time. If the traction control light is on and can not be turned off, odds are the ABS is out. 2. Trunk Rust - Pop the trunk and inspect the spot where rust typically forms. If you are standing at the trunk, the back corners are where you want to check. They are infamous for r ... | |||||

| For half-ton trucks if we are talking about just in the last 6 years (so going back to model year 2015), then for longevity it comes down to only the Toyota Tundra and Ford F-150 (and for the Ford F-150 it comes down to only model years 2015-2017 with the 2nd Gen 5.0 Coyote V8 and 6-speed AT; forget about the Ecoboost versions, the Gen 3 5.0 Coyote V8 and the 10-speed AT). For reliability and longevity, the Tundra will have the Edge over the F-150, but for towing (especially loads nearing 10,000 lbs) and work truck the F-150 has the Edge. | |||||
