Hello everyone, was wondering what your opinion was of the brand new Corolla Cross with AWD. I'd be getting the base model L with the automatic transmission (not a hybrid). Do you think they are quality cars for the price point (around 24k). Should they have the same Toyota reliability that we all know and love? I would keep this car until parts started falling off..
It’s still a new model and reliability is uncertain. However, based on Toyota’s record, it should be okay. Also, that’s the same engine and transmission from the Corolla.
From my POV, the Corolla Cross is the spiritually successor to the original RAV4.
The RAV4 has been upsized over the years, leading to the largest RAV4 yet.
The new Corolla Cross takes the place in the lineup of the older RAV4.

If I would be buying a new model car then I would trust a Toyota more than any other manufacturer. Not saying Toyota never had any problems but given their history of quality I would trust them the most. And with the Corolla Cross it's the Corolla engine which is already being used and Toyota makes very good CVT so personally I think it won't be a bad choice.
