| Power Steering Fluid Top-off | 11Relevance | 2 years ago | 50 Chevy | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| I purchased a used 1994 Ford f150 and the power steering fluid is low and needs to be topped off. I have read that you should not mix different types of fluids for your power steering system but I have no idea what type of fluid is in there now. Is my understanding of not mixing fluids correct? What should I do? Also, there are many opinions of what type of fluid should / should not be used (PS fluid / ATF). Any recommendations of what I should do and what type of fluid? | |||||

| Hey Scotty! I have a 1985 Ford f150 with a 5.0l, EFI with dual fuel tanks and an automatic transmission. Around 50,000 miles. The truck is running on only the front fuel tank. The previous ripped out the fuel lines from the rear tank and the tank selector ( which I believe was the mechanical "dual function reservoir". Im not 100% sure though) and and just ran the fuel lines from the front tank fuel pump to the inline fuel pump. The issue is after driving X amount of miles, anywhere from 10-100 miles) the truck dies. I have found when it dies, If i change th ... | |||||

| Ya I was afraid that's the answer I'd get lol. I've been looking at new cuz I got beat with an older f150 last time, went thru 2 transmissions in a year. I want something that will last 15 years. 3rd gen tacomas are too much of a hassle to get at a reasonable price so I figured frontier or jeep would probably be my next best bet, but I see a lot of mixed opinions on them. The way I see it is if it's a 50/50...it's probably a bad bet. Thought I'd ask. Thanks for the feedback. | |||||

| Hello Scotty, I played the devil's advocated and bought a 2018 Ford f150 2.7 EB new off the lot. Now it has 113,000 miles, and I have a CEL with P0420 and P0430 codes but no issues driving or smoking. Went to several shops with varying opinions. I have recently switched to a different gas station and did an Italian tune up. The first time I did this, my CEL went away for two days, second time around, I switched to premium fuel and did the Italian tune up once more, the CEL went out for three days. What could be the issue and is what I am doing helping? P.S. ... | |||||
| Which pickup should I buy | 11Relevance | 4 years ago | AJ | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| Hey everyone question. A 2016 f150 3.5 Ecoboost or a Ram 1500 5.7 Hemi V8? I heard good for both. Trading in my car next year and will need something that will last. I have had buddies that said the Fords 3.5 was great for towing and lasted well over 250k miles. Also heard the Hemi did as well, but had the “Hemi Tick”. (I also heard of a 2014 Silverado lasting over 250k, but that hard to believe personally lol) I like both but when it comes to money I would like to know peoples opinions and experiences if any with these trucks. Thanks! | |||||
| Answer to: Should I buy a Ford F-series or Toyota Tundra truck | 11Relevance | 4 years ago | areid66 | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| I have heard a lot of great things about the Ford 4.6L V8 2- valve engine. In comparison is it equally relatable or better than a Toyota Tundra of the same generation? I personally have a 07 f150 with the 4.6L V8 but have heard conflicting opinions on whether it is a 2valve or a 3 valve motor. My truck just hit the 95k miles mark, any particular maintainance that you recommend? Thank you | |||||

| Howdy , I came across a 2005 Ford 150 in good shape with 96000 m. My question the owner mentioned to me that sometimes the third brake light will drain the battery if isnt drove everyday. This will not be a daily driver for me. I will be using it for business purposes. Can anyone let me know if this is a common issue and if there is a fix? Also can get some opinions on if this is a good deal or bad deal? Im not pressed to purchase but i am looking for something in this market i think it would be good investment even if i have to put some money into it. thanks in advance ken | |||||
| RE: More likely to be reliable, new Ford Maverick hybrid or Toyota Tundra turbo? | 11Relevance | 4 years ago | DarnTootinDeleteMe | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| ... 20 grand. Turning the key and having it start, is extremely important to me. But on reliability, not having a traditional transmission, no starter, no alternator, no accessory belt, AC driven by the high voltage battery, no turbos... seems like the Maverick has a case against a twin-turbo monstrosity like what's in that Toyota. I felt it was a question worth raising at least, and not easily dismissed by me outright. I wanted to hear some opinions. There are two possible trucks that I'd pick over both this Tundra and Maverick. The Ford Lightning, which I h ... | |||||
| 1998 Ford F-150 transmission fluid change | 11Relevance | 5 years ago | Matt129 | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| ... fluid has never been changed to my knowledge. The fluid doesn’t look horrible and the transmission seems to be functioning ok. It can be a little slow to go from second to third every now and again but that’s the worst of it. No slipping or anything like that. My question is, would it be safe to do a fluid change at this point? I would like to preserve the transmission as long as I can and I know that these f150 trannies can be a little finicky, so I would like to hear some opinions before I proceed. Thank you for your input! | |||||

| ... that you think Ford makes the best trucks so that is part of the reason I have been looking at an OBS (old body style) ford. My dad let me drive his 95 f150 manual in high school which I was missing. Bought the thing for 3k cash. I love the diesel sound and "power" although I haven't owned it long enough to get it registered or see how much she can pull. I think your audience would love your opinions on old work horse all mechanical trucks. With the chaos being summoned forth and more people looking into off griding and homesteading I for one would love to ... | |||||

| 2014 Ford F150 ATS Engine Oil Additive Preventative Maintenance | 10Relevance | 4 years ago | AustinPulsar | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| Hey Scotty, My car is a 2014 Ford F-150 Platinum Ecoboost 5.0 liter V8 (non-turbo) with sequential multi-port fuel injection. I recently rounded 130,000 miles on the vehicle and have begun to do preventative maintenance on it in accordance with the Ford documentation. So far I have changed the antifreeze and the air filter. Next on the docket is spark plugs, differential oil, and the transmission fluid/filter. This truck is used extremely often and daily in the city. I watched your video about this ATS Engine Oil Additive and have also seen a myriad of ford videos warning their owners about the potential excess carbon buildup on valves as a side effect of their fuel injection. My question is : Do you think that it would be wise to use this engine oil additive one time before an oil change as a form of preventative maintenance for the future of my engine health OR do you think that it would only create problems where none currently exist? Thank you for your time and all of the helpful videos you post on the internet. I truly appreciate it. P.S. apologies if you've answered this question 1000 times.. I searched the forum and found some useful opinions but I'm interested in knowing your input. | |||||
